3 conference run....

Just finished 4 days at the Gordon Research Conference on Predator Prey interactions.

This was like coming home to the old PhD days - lots of talk about trophic cascades, species interactions, fear, and some excellent stuff introducing ecologists to the neurophysiology of fear and research on PTSD, and the neurophysiologists getting inundated with the debates about wolf effects on elk in yellowstone. Excellent all around. As Joel Brown said, it was like being on an intellectual love boat.

Next up - ASN Asilomar Conference on integrating pattern and process to understand biodiversity

Then, back to the UK for the Daphnia Genomics Meeting.
